Publication Ethics

For the excellent quality of the manuscript and to avoid the errors in the publication process and plagiarism in the accepted procedure, the editorial board approved the ethics of scientific publications. The ethical rules of this publication apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers. The ethics of the publication is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

 

Screening for Plagiarism

The submitted manuscript would be checked for plagiarism twice using Turnitin (similarity check program) before sending it to the peer-review process and before the production process to prevent any publication fraud. The editorial team will not process any plagiarised contents.

Editor Ethics:

  1. Decision of publication. Editors must ensure the comprehensiveness and transparency of the review process. These are the basic directives for the decision making regarding the acceptance and rejection. In this case, the editorial board acts as the manuscript selection team.
  2. Publication information. Editors must ensure that the writing guidelines for authors are accessible and readable, both in print and electronic versions as well.
  3. Distribution of peer-review manuscript. The editor must ensure the careful review and approval of the manuscript.
  4. Objectivity and neutrality. The editor must be impartial and truthful while editing the content of the manuscript.
  5. Confidentiality. Editors must carefully keep all information, particularly that which relates to the author's privacy and the distribution of the work/ manuscript.
  6. Disclosure of conflicts of interest. To ensure that the process of publishing a paper runs smoothly and safely, editors must be aware of the ethical standards for scientific publications mentioned above.

Author Ethics

  1. Reporting. The editors must be provided complete information by the authors regarding the process and results of their works in a truthful, thorough, and safe manner.
  2. Originality and plagiarism. The author must ensure that the manuscript submitted to the editor is original, written by him/herself and sourced from his/her ideas. It is strictly forbidden for authors to link the names of other people to the references they cite.
  3. Repeated publication. The author must inform that the manuscript sent/submitted to the journal is a manuscript that has never been sent/submitted to any other publishers. If redundancy is found at any stage in sending the manuscript to another publisher, the editor will reject the manuscript posted by the author.
  4. Correspondent author. The author who submits the manuscript to journal will be considered as the corresponding author who represents him/herself or the author team in terms of publication process correspondence with the editor and Journal manager. Editors and the journal management will only communicate with the article's correspondent author, who is also in charge of its content.
  5. Writing Error in manuscript. The author must inform the editor immediately if any problems in the composition of the write up is found. Immediately after that, the corresponding author must suggest a correction in the paper.

Reviewer Ethics:

  1. Objectivity and neutrality. Reviewers must be sincere, impartial, independent, unbiased, and exclusively stand for scientific truth.
  2. Clarity of reference sources. Reviewers must ensure that the source of references/citations of manuscripts is appropriate. The reviewer must notify the editor as soon as any errors or deviations in the reference or quote source are found so that the author can make the necessary corrections in accordance with the reviewer's notes.
  3. Peer-review effectiveness. Reviewers must respond to manuscripts, sent by the editor. Reviewers must complete their job by the deadline of two weeks for manuscript evaluation. The editorial team must be notified right away (confirmation) if more time is required to review the manuscript.

Journal Manager Ethics

  1. Decision making. The manager of the journal must assure the core values of the organization, pertaining to policymaking and journal publishing decisions without any particular interest.
  1. Freedom. Managing Editor of journal must ensure reviewers and editors to operate in a conducive environment and respect the privacy of authors.
  1. Guarantees and promotions. The Managing Editor must guarantee and protect intellectual property rights (copyrights) and be transparent in managing funds received by third parties. The Managing Editor must maintain and preserve (in archives) articles that have at least been published electronically.
